SERVICE BEYOND CITY HALL
Prepared. Involved. Serving Tampa.
Public safety isn’t a talking point for Joseph Citro—it’s a responsibility.
Citro has completed citizen academies with the Tampa Police Department, Tampa Fire Rescue, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Tampa International Airport Police Department, as well as Tampa’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.
His involvement has given him firsthand experience with emergency preparedness and a greater understanding of the challenges facing Tampa’s police officers, firefighters and emergency responders.
During hurricanes and severe weather, that commitment becomes hands-on. Citro has worked alongside members of the community to help with storm preparation and response efforts, including filling sandbags and helping Tampa residents prepare before storms arrive.
“Serving Tampa means more than showing up for a meeting. It means showing up for the community.”
Joseph Citro remains committed to doing the work, listening to Tampa residents and bringing firsthand experience to the decisions that shape our city’s future.
Keeping Tampa Moving
Transportation affects every Tampa resident—from the time spent commuting to work to pedestrian safety, neighborhood streets, freight movement and the infrastructure needed to support a growing city. Citro continues to stay involved in transportation issues affecting Tampa and the surrounding region, bringing his experience in transportation planning and regional collaboration to the conversation. His focus is on practical solutions that improve mobility, strengthen infrastructure, make our roads safer and enure transportation planning keeps pace with Tampa’s growth.
